Lakshmi Parvathi is an Indian politician and the widow of former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. T. Rama Rao. She was born on September 14, 1959, in Peddapulivarru, Andhra Pradesh.
Lakshmi Parvathi has been actively involved in politics since the early 1990s when she married N. T. Rama Rao. After his death in 1996, she entered politics and joined the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), which was founded by her husband. She later became a member of the YSR Congress Party.
In 2019, Lakshmi Parvathi contested in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections from the Kakinada constituency but was unsuccessful in winning a seat.
She is known for her outspoken and controversial statements and has been involved in several political controversies over the years. Despite facing criticism from various quarters, she continues to be active in politics and remains a prominent figure in Andhra Pradesh.
